Shungite

Shungite is a mineral found only in Russia. The people of Russia have used it for centuries. History tells of how Peter the Great had all his soldiers carry a piece with them which they used to purify their water and use on their wounds. It has been studied extensively by Russian scientists but only within the last few years has knowledge about it fully reached the Western world.

In 1996 Scientists Robert Curl and Richard Smalley made a breakthrough discovery while studying shungite – fullerenes.

This large component of shungite is a specific carbon-based molecular formation mainly found in its natural state within shungite. Surprisingly they found it in a few meteorites too. Why is it amazing? Because these unique molecules are believed to be powerful antioxidants with the ability to shield cells from the affects of free radicals.

It has been scientifically proven to assist with protection from electromagnetic stress/radiation. It changes harmful man-made EMF’s into wave forms that are more compatible with our biology. Even if you don’t wear it, proximity to shungite has a positive effect on you. It has become one of the best ways to combat the increasingly disrupted energy fields around us.

The veins that look like gold/white scrathces are natural mineral veins found in shungite like quartzite – this is proof that it is genuine. Beads are made from type two Shungite which is 50-70 percent carbon because it’s easily shaped.

We test all our shungite with a multi-meter to ensure that it is the real thing since sadly there are fake stones out there. Genuine shungite gives a reading since it allows the current to run through it.

Please be advised that since Shungite contains carbon it might stain black a bit. This usually goes away after initial wear.

Remove jewellery before applying creams, avoid contact with chemical liquids, aerosols and detergents. They can be rubbed with a dry cotton cloth to retain their original shine for longer.

Shungite has been revealed for this season for a reason.
