Time is an element of our environment we practically take for granted. It has three main parts: Past, present and future.
We generally spend a lot of our thought life occupied with thoughts concerning these three.
The past makes up most of who we are. All our experiences have formed who we believe we are and we continue to live in the same pattern by continuing to think the same things about ourselves. In essence the chemical pathways in our brains are familiar and we live in automatic – responding the same in thought and emotion to our environment.
When we try to change the way we respond we invoke a whole chain reaction of resistance from our bodies and minds who protest our perceived rebellion to the status quo. In some instances our familiar feelings and thoughts have become to us like an addiction with which our bodies don’t want to part.
Our neural pathway between our emotions and thoughts have become so part of who we are that we feel before we think. Instead of consciously thinking about something and deciding whether it is what we want – we feel things which prompt our thoughts. This forms a continuous loop in which we are basically repeating the same behaviours and patterns.
The first step to change is to realise that you’ve become an autobot😂
Then its time for you to forget about time😌
Whatever you place your attention on increases. Because you give it life.
So instead of focusing on trying to control your thoughts and emotions you need to turn away from their noise towards the Truth.
The Truth is found firstly in Yeshua, the Firstborn of many. He is the vine and we are the branches. He is the beginning and the end. He is the One in whom we find rest. In Him we live and move and find our being.
He is in the Kingdom realms which is outside of time and space. When Scripture says that we are seated with Christ in heavenly places it is speaking of the Kingdom. This kingdom that is also within us.
Now….There is no time in that realm. So if you believe you are the sum total of all you’ve learned and experienced in the past- thus the past tells you who you are. What are you without it?
What if you start believing that the past isn’t who you are. That it doesn’t matter whether you’ve always been someone with a short temper or lack of self control. What if the voices objecting to the changes you want to make are lying to you.
The Truth is that your spirit being is perfect, holy, full of love, created in His image, redeemed and made whole.
So start tuning into your true self in Christ and tune out the false self. Begin by ignoring the whispers of the past and the future and focus on the NOW. Take a DEEP breath.
Breathe….
Find joy in the now. Find gratefulness in the now.
Step into who you are.
A lot of this comes from a great book I’m reading. It isn’t written from a kingdom perspective but contains a lot of relevant revelation about how our bodies work and how the quantum realm operates.
